"I realize now that dying is easy. Living is hard." If I Stay by Gale Foreman is about 17-year-old Mia Hall whose life changes with a car crash. She wakes up minutes later, but not as herself but as her ghost self. Her parents are dead and her body is in a coma, leaving her with only one decision: Will she stay? Grab a box of tissues, because the story will take you on an emotional roller-coaster. Mia's indecision about whether she wants to go or stay will have you turning those pages faster than you can say Yo-Yo Ma (read the book and you'll get it). The book is a well-written with strong characters. A five-star read. |
